Hurray! I've been waiting for Pesthouse for ages... Thanks for the heads up, Eric! :D
The Pesthouse is Jim Crace's ninth book. I have always enjoyed reading him ever since I read A Gift of Stones years back. Crace has two more books with his current publisher, Nan A. Talese. Whatever his plots, I always enjoy reading him because his writing is hallucinatory and haunting.
