Suzanne BERNE ... On Becoming a Writer

“Some of my most intensely happy moments have come from reading books I love. I remember, as a child, leaving the library with a book I had been waiting for—running out of the library as if I had stolen it—the feeling of such excitement that it must be illicit. Often I would read a book and want to do that same thing, to create the feelings I had while reading.”
