2010 Man Booker Prize SHORTLIST

HERE’RE the six novels that made it to the shortlist for the 2010 Man Booker Prize for Fiction. Surprisingly, David Mitchell is not on it. Otherwise, an okay shortlist. Could Peter Carey be the first novelist to win the Man Booker Prize three times?

2. Room (Picador/Pan Macmillan, 2010) / Emma Donoghue
3. In a Strange Room (Atlantic Books/Grove Atlantic, 2010) / Damon Galgut

4. The Finkler Question (Bloomsbury, 2010) / Howard Jacobson
5. The Long Song (Headline Review/Headline, 2010) / Andrea Levy
6. C (Jonathan Cape/Random House, 2010) / Tom McCarthy

Chaired by Andrew Motion, the line-up of judges in 2010 include Rosie Blau, Deborah Bull, Tom Sutcliffe and Frances Wilson.

The winner will be announced on October 12, 2010.
