Rana DASGUPTA wins the 2010 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best Book
BRITISH NOVELIST RANA DASGUPTA has won the 2010 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best Book with his second novel, Solo (Fourth Estate, 2009), while Australian author GLENDA GUEST won for Best First Book with her debut novel, Siddon Rock (Vintage Australia, 2009), which looks at the consequences of World War II on a small Australian town in the Australian Outback. Dasgupta is the author of Tokyo Cancelled (Fourth Estate/Grove Atlantic, 2005).
