2008 Orange Award for New Writers Shortlist

THE FOLLOWING THREE FIRST NOVELS have been shortlisted for the 2008 Orange Award for New Writers:

1. Inglorious (Metropolitan, 2007; Faber & Faber, 2008) / Joanna Kavenna
2. The Monsters of Templeton (Hyperion/William Heinemann, 2008) / Lauren Groff
3. The Voluptuous Delights of Peanut Butter and Jam (Virago, 2008) / Lauren Liebenberg

Lauren Liebenberg (picture) scores a double; after all, she has already been longlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction.

The winner of the 2008 Orange Award for New Writers will be announced on June 4, 2008
