2008 Los Angeles Times Book Prizes

NOMINEES for the 2008 Los Angeles Times Book Prizes were announced on March 2, 2009. Uwem Akpan, Sebastian Barry, Frank Bidart, Neil Gaiman, Jorie Graham, Oscar Hijuelos, Sadie Jones, Terry Pratchett, Richard Price, Marilynne Robinson, Joan Silber, Roma Tearne and David Wroblewski, amongst others, are all in the running for the prestigious prizes. Winners in all categories of genres will be announced on April 24, 2009.
