Wow, can you believe how fast time has been passing? The 4th BC is up next?
I'm so glad I came for the first one... can't believe how far we've come! :D
Yes, how time flies! I can't believe it myself. I am looking forward to the next one.
I didn't realise there were so many Malaysian authors!
Anon, that's partly because Malaysian authors get scant publicity. If you attend MPH's annual authors do in August, you'll see a big crowd of us there.
There are also Malaysian authors published with other publishers, so whatever number you see at the MPH annual do, there are a few more not present because not with MPH.
Sometimes, even tho publicity is scant, books sell. Like Kam Raslan, whose book Confessions of an Old Boy: The Dato' Hamid Adventures, is heading for a second printing. But then, Kam's already well-known because of his column in The Edge, and also work in other media (film, stage, etc.).
Chet, correction. Not all the authors at the MPH annual authors do are published with them. MPH doesn't take care of its own only, there are many authors published by other publishing houses who are invited to take part in the August event.
