2006 Independent Foreign Fiction Prize: Results
PER PETTERSON of Norway has been declared the winner of the 2006 Independent Foreign Fiction Prize for his novel Out Stealing Horses (2003; Harvill Secker, 2005), beating out Nobel Prize-winner Imre Kertesz and IMPAC Award-winner Tahar Ben Jelloun. The novel is translated from the Norwegian by Anne Born. Congratulations!
