2006 ORANGE PRIZE for FICTION: Longlist

THE 2006 Orange Prize for Fiction longlist is out and it includes many exceptional novels by established women writers and newcomers. In a year noted for outstanding novels by the veterans, many newcomers, sadly, will most probably be sidelined:

The shortlist will be announced on April 26, 2006. The winner will be announced on June 6, 2006.
