Joseph O’Neill’s tale of cricket in post-9/11 New York,
Netherland, has been chosen the winner of the prestigious 2009 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, the PEN/Faulkner Foundation announced on February 25, 2009. The prize was established by William Faulkner from his Nobel prize winnings. Other authors shortlisted for the prize include
