FICTION RULES again in the shortlist for the
2005 John Llewellyn Rhys Prize for works of literature by a United Kingdom or Commonwealth writer aged 35 or under. Among the shortlisted titles, there are four novels, a collection of short stories and a collection of poetry. All are début works except for
Rebbecca Ray’s who has written a second novel,
Newfoundland, a gigantic tome of a novel.
